There was excellent turnout for last night's community walk with Mayor William D. Euille. At one point, a participant counted 53 people in the group, which trudged from the Metro up Wythe Street to the Bland housing and concluded at Queen and Fayette Streets.

While there was a large delegation of City staff and politicians (including Vice Mayor Del Pepper and Councilmen Tim Lovain and Justin Wilson), there were lots of residents and many new faces.

The post-walk question from the Cranky One is this: do you think the Mayor and the other elected officials were listening?

And were you satisfied by what you heard them say?
