Once Upon a Time

A Likely Story, the wonderful children's book store on King Street near our neighborhood, will be shutting its doors forever next week. Apparently the competition from big box stores and a lack of foot traffic is killing business.

The store will be open through next Wednesday (November 21). Tomorrow they are presenting a "Corduroy the Bear" storytime, complete with someone dressed in a Corduroy costume.

No word yet on whether the store, which has been a fixture on King Street for more than 20 years, will reopen after the holiday for a final clearance sale.
